The Canine Concierge Company

 

Royal Marines in the small town of Nowzad, southern Afghanistan found several stray dogs that had been abandoned by their owners. The choice of leaving them to fend for themselves was not an option; they were scared, lonely and in a poor state of health.

 

A few of them banded together and formed Nowzad Dogs - a group of like minded dog lovers dedicated to rescuing the dogs that became their companions for the 3 months they spent in the small town.

 

 

They are raising money to rescue some of the dogs; to support the Afghan rescue and to raise awareness of the vital work of the Afghan Stray Animal League. They have now achieved ‘registered charity’ status.

 

Their long term aim is to establish an organisation that can rescue other dogs that have no-one to look out for them.
